Howard Lederer Apologizes to Poker Community

On May 17 Full Tilt Poker’s player pool was integrated into PokerStars. The platform of what was once one of the largest online poker sites was retired and was maybe a reason for the statement. PokerStars announced yesterday that it has partnered with eSports legend Team Liquid With Betrand “ElkY” Grospellier being part of the Team PokerStars Pro, he has also been in Team Liquid. 30,000 Twitch Viewers Watch Jason Somerville At SCOOP Final Table

The king of Twitch, Jason Somerville, broke the 30,000-viewer mark last week, as he started the final table play during his live stream. Eventually, Somerville took the ninth place in the $700 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Progressive Super Knockout (PSKO) tournament from SCOOP. Just two months ago, on March 21, Somerville’s Twitch stream view ticker went over the 10 million mark. His Run It UP! New Jersey Sets New Online Gambling Record

State’s online casinos win $17 million in April Online casinos in New Jersey won $17 million from gamblers in April, according to the numbers released by New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE). This is the all-time biggest amount in a single month. The $17 million is with 33,8 percent more than April 2015’s $12,7 million. In March was set the last record, when the online casinos broke the $15-milion mark. For the first four months of the year, Internet gambling increased its win with 29 percent year-over-year to $61,9 million. It all started in 2015 when the Canadian climber André DiFelice had to take time for recovery after an arm injury. Due to his lots of free time, he was able to rediscover his love for poker. Full Tilt Poker Money Denied to 1,500 Players

The US Department of Justice has denied 1,500 petitions of the old Full Tilt Poker players. The company processing the claims for Full Tilt Poker, Garden City Group, Inc., made an announcement few days ago. “GCG has been informed that the Department of Justice Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section has denied approximately 1,500 Petitions. Petitioners flagged for denial have been notified via email. Please be sure to check your email account’s spam or junk folder to ensure the message was not filtered. Denied petitioners have ten days to appeal the decision,” GCG writes. Most of the petitioners are people who were marked as affiliates. PokerStars And Full Tilt to Merge Liquidity

According to a press release, PokerStars and Full Tilt are going to merge their poker player pool on May 17. This was already confirmed in February. All Full Tilt customers should receive email on the future merger and its effects. This merger would hardly affect the overall liquidity of PokerStars. Since Black Friday, Full Tilt  has been losing players and has currently 600 ring-game players on a seven-day basis. France Shares Online Poker Player Pool

The French government has agreed to an amendment to current law that will allow sharing of online poker liquidity. This amendment to the law will permit regulatory body ARJEL to make liquidity deals with other regulated markets in the European Union. ARJEL has been trying to make this change for years in hopes to share its market liquidity with other countries, such as Spain and Italy. In recent years, the French online poker market has been suffering from continual decline and excessive tax structure. These pushed away many big poker players.
